How to Export Your Shot Data as CSV from the Garmin Golf App

A step-by-step guide to exporting your Garmin Approach R10 session data as a CSV file — ready to upload to Swingalytica for analysis.

You’ve just finished a session on the range with your Garmin Approach R10. The data is sitting in the Garmin Golf App — club speeds, ball speeds, launch angles, spin rates. Now you want to actually do something with it.

Here’s exactly how to get that data out as a CSV file and into Swingalytica.

Step 1 — Open the Garmin Golf App

Launch the Garmin Golf App on your phone and make sure you’re signed in to your account. Your sessions are automatically synced from the R10 after each practice.

Step 2 — Navigate to Your Session

Tap Activity in the bottom navigation. You’ll see a list of your recent practice sessions. Find the driving range session you want to export and tap on it to open it.

Step 3 — Export as CSV

Tap the three dots in the top right corner of the session screen. A menu will appear — select Export to CSV.

Step 4 — Save the File

When prompted, tap Save to Files and choose a location you’ll easily find again — your iCloud Drive or Downloads folder works well.

Important: Don’t rename the file. The Garmin Golf App generates a filename that contains your session date and device info. Swingalytica uses this to correctly identify and process your session.

Step 5 — Upload to Swingalytica

Head to swingalytica.com, sign in, and upload the CSV file you just saved. Swingalytica will parse your shot data and generate a full analysis of your session — club by club, metric by metric.

That’s all there is to it. The whole process takes under a minute once you’ve done it once.
